LR Laffitte oil on lacquered silver/gold board of a lioness. Signed by the artist. Contemporary French artist, born in 1943 specialising in painting mainly animals, birds and flowers. More regularly painting in watercolour, he has also embarked on oils on lacquered board in an art-deco style for some of his ‘big game’ works, giving a more decorative approach. Trademark triangle painted pattern signage.
