Swedish Lindome Sofa
18th Century Swedish Sofa - £3,250
Swedish wooden sofa made in the Lindome region of Sweden in the late 18th century. The Lindome area is south of Stockholm where a lot of Swedish furniture of that era came from - originally farmers, these gentlemen became woodworkers due to the land being poor for farming and they produced some of the finest pieces of furniture. Often with a floral motif carving at the top, this bench is of a much simpler style. It has been scraped back to its original wood and recently re-upholstered in a neutral linen with double piping and beautiful finishing around the arms. Internal width 165cm, depth 50cm and seat height 55cm.
